Models:

Compared to standard AEDs, the Aviation unit, like the BLS model, focuses on accelerating the time to shock, providing feedback for high-quality CPR, and ensuring device readiness in extreme environments. 

The ZOLL AED 3 Aviation 

This is a specialized, ruggedized, and FAA-compliant version of the standard ZOLL AED 3 BLS (Basic Life Support), designed to meet strict commercial and private aviation safety standards (RTCA) while providing enhanced, real-time feedback during cardiac emergencies. 

The Aviation model meets RTCA standards and contains an FAA-approved TSO C142-b battery pack, allowing it to comply with the highest commercial airworthiness standards for use on aircraft. Standard BLS units may not have this specific certification.

While both share the core "Real CPR Help" technology and high-speed "RapidShock" analysis, the aviation version is built to handle the unique demands of altitude and vibration.
